February Teachers Reveal

Ohh, apparently it's been a while. :) I really think I'm going to keep up with this thing and then life gets in the way. In February, I geared my reveal towards the teachers in your life. Fun and practical gifts to make them smile!
And altered tissue box (purchased at Michael's)

An altered pencil holder, KaiserCraft

And altered band-aid tin. This was originally one of those little mini lunch boxes in the dollar section at Target.

A room sign, purchased at Michael's. I have since added the teachers names to the open space to the right.

Altered picture frame, purchased at Michael's.

And, finally, an altered notebook. This is a hardcover, spiral bound that can be rebound when the current pages are full.

And, there you have it, a few little inspiration gifts for the great teachers in your lives!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

It's October. Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's kind of a passion for my family and me. My mom will be a 10 year survivor in March of '09. Last year, we participated in Race For the Cure for the first time. We already have our hotel room booked for the race next year. I'm ready!
In honor of my mom and the race, I created this LO afterwards, with my favorite running shoes and my number from the race. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears in the darn wording, I tell ya. And one dull Cricut blade afterwards.
The papers are Melissa Frances (a BC survivor), the song is Melissa Ethridge (a BC survivor) and in celebration of my mom...you got it, a BC survivor.

And, when I started playing with the scraps from the layout, I created several cards that, quite honestly, I love!
Do the right thing ladies....check 'em!

Assignments, assignments, assignments...

Recently, A Cherry on Top has revamped their Creative Team. The paper one, anyway. We're now working on "assignments" of our choosing, rather than reveal products picked for us. I rather like this new direction. In September, I chose the MME Garden Party line.

This is my sweet little Isabella, learning to tie her shoes. I really thought this would be something that would take her some time to learn, but she picked it up in one afternoon.

Bella and Mira after a long day at the pool, dinner, and music in the park. With most kids friendships, there some arguing, some attempt for one to be the "leader". The best part about this friendship is that there is NONE of that. They're just content to be together and really are friends because they want to be, not just because their mom's are friends.

And because I had plenty of supplies left, I created a few cards. I don't know that I've ever given any cards away! That, of course, explains the huge stack sitting on my desk.
